It’s scientifically proved that we get the first impression of a person in the first few seconds. Sometimes it’s completely right, sometimes it’s completely wrong. The fact is that the first impression is always made by appearance. What should one do to make good first impression? And is it as vital as it is said to be?

Yes. First impression is definitely very important because it’s very difficult to change it. If you don’t know a man and he comes over you dressed with messy hair do, untidy clothing, dirty shoes and bad smell, what would you think? Most probably that he’s very untidy and kind of a looser. But it is actually possible that he’s after work or some other business that made him look like this. We wouldn’t even consider this possibility, that’s why we always have to look and act properly.

Of course, it depends on a situation. If it’s a business meeting or you’re going for a job casual clothing is definitely a wrong choice. You must dress properly and make an impression of a serious, mature, self confident person. If it’s your first blind date, show a bit of your own style, but don’t make too much of it. Maybe the person doesn’t even adore that looks, so the evening may be spoiled in the first few seconds.

Person makes his mind whether he/she wants to see that person again, whether he/she could be his/hers partner in relationship or just a friend. Many essential and small decisions are made by those first few seconds.

Although you’re clothing is vital you also have to control your manners, you must always brace yourself up and make an impression of sell confident and easy going person. No one actually adores depressed loners.
