Once again, the internet scamware manufacturers have surprised the user community with another parasite to milk money from people with: it's SpyBurner, which is yet another rogue anti-spyware program, released in February 2008. Even though this program claims to be the best tool for spyware removal, it is actually no more than a scam, not unlike any other rogue anti-spyware scam. This program is most commonly installed via Trojans disguised as video codecs.

When active on your computer, SpyBurner allows you to scan your system for spyware. This scan produces a falsified report in hopes of scaring you into buying the full version, which is, of course, no more real than the trial. More information on this threat can be found here.
